How to extend the life of your candle

What’s the best way to get the most out of your candle? It’s super easy.

Did you know that candles have a memory? They do, honest. On your very first burn, allow your candle to reach a full melt pool. To put it simply, allow for the wax to melt all the way across your vessel; from edge to edge. If this doesn’t happen on the first burn, you may experience tunneling. This is where you end up with a rim of wax around the edge of the candle that doesn’t melt.

As your candle burns, you may notice slight mushrooming at the end of your wick. It’s just carbon build up that can occur after you extinguish your flame. Not to worry, trim your wicks to 1/4” before you light it up and you’ll be just fine,

Speaking of trimming your wicks. Be sure to keep your wax free of debris. That includes wick trimmings, matches and dust. I’ve been so kind to include a lid for all of your candles, please feel free to use it.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that could catch fire. Avoid drafts and vents.

If your flame flickers repeatedly or becomes too high, extinguish it immediately. Let your candle cool, trim your wick and check for any drafts before re-lighting.

Never, ever use water to extinguish a candle!!!

Do not move a candle while it is lit or if the wax is still in a liquid state.

If you are burning more than one candle at a time, please place them at least 3” apart.
